Waterford Area Partnership is one of 49 Local Development Companies operating throughout Ireland. Local Development Companies are governed by partnerships between the state and community and voluntary sector with a mission to deliver programmes and services that meet the needs of local communities and improve the quality of life for our citizens.
SICAP stands for Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme. Within this programme WAP staff work with local communities to support community development, and provide individual/group supports in personal development, education and lifelong learning, employment training and self-employment mentoring and training.
